Vi hace poco una serie de las que te sientes bien viéndolas. Es antigua, todo se ha de decir y está realizada a partir de un libro de Ballester llamada LOS GOZOS Y LAS SOMBRAS.
En un pueblo gallego perdido durannte la II República está controlado por Cayetano Salgado, el cual quiere adueñarse de todo lo que el pueblo tiene, incluida la voluntad de sus habitantes. A su vez, llega del extranjero Carlos Deza, descendiente de una de las familias nobles del pueblo que junto a Mariana, tía suya, mujer de carácter, que se dedica a hacer la puñeta para que el cazique de Cayetano no se adueñe de todo.
La historia trata sobre los infortunios que, una persona libre como Carlos, está constantemente siendo empujado a enfrentarse con Cayetano por motivos pueblerinos a los cuales él no llega a entender.
Los actores hacen unos papeles expléndidos: Carlos Larrañaga, Charo López, Amparo Mireies y Eusebio Poncelas entre otros. La serie se recomienda a toda la gente que les guste la sociedad y como se vivía en un pueblo cualquiera de hace unos 70 años.
